How to Print Mail Letters

There are two basic ways to print mail letters. The first is to select the letter and click the print button in the sidebar. This will open the printer dialog box. After the letter is printed, you will be prompted to add an entry to the mailing log, which will help you keep track of the items you've sent to which recipients. This step is recommended for all mailings. The date, time, type of letter and recipient's name will be automatically filled in.

The second way to check if a letter is being printed is to view the status of the letter. Unless you have a DCD site, the print flag will only be present if the letter is zero days old or older. If a letter has a date in the future or a 60-day deadline, it will not be flagged. For these purposes, you can also flag the letter as "Printed" and use that date for a summary report.

Traditional mail is often considered a more secure and reliable way to send messages. The traditional method of writing and sending letters often avoids malware or computer malfunctions. If a letter is sent digitally, the recipient will need to scan it before they can read it. Depending on how your letter is written, there is a chance that you won't get a reply if you choose to print it yourself. Aside from that, you can save on paper and postage costs with these two methods.
